BICYCLE SAFETY TIPS FROM

- Before you get on your bike, put on a helmet
- Use caution at all times, especially before riding onto a new street.
- Obey stop, yield and all traffic signs.
- Check behind you before swerving, turning or changing lanes.

HELMET SAFETY TIPS
- Purchase a helmet that meets the safety standards of the American National Standards Institute.
- Choose a helmet that fits well prior to adjustment. Avoid a helmet a child will "grow into.
- Wear the helmet level on the head, not tilted back on the crown or pulled low over the forehead.
- When helmet is fitted properly on child's head, only two fingers should fit under the chinstrap.
- Remind your child to always wear a helmet and set an example by wearing a helmet at all times.
