As testament to our commitment, on July 28, 2001, the Monmouth County Sheriff's Office earned the "Grand Slam" achievement for simultaneous accreditation of the law enforcement division, the correctional facility, correctional healthcare, and 9-1-1 communications. We are the first of 3,088 sheriff's offices across the nation to achieve this distinction.

Senior citizens are an invaluable resource to our great county. With a lifetime of experience in business and civic involvement, the approximately 115,000 residents over the age of 50 sustain our neighborhoods with their time and their talents.
